Carrier, a unit of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR) and a worldwide leader in climate and energy solutions, today reaffirmed its commitment to protecting indoor environments from the growing threat of wildfire smoke. The company is sharing actionable recommendations and offering advanced indoor air quality (IAQ) solutions designed to safeguard public health during periods of deteriorating outdoor air quality.
Recent wildfire activity across North America has resulted in widespread hazardous air conditions. In several regions, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) classified air quality as “unhealthy,” with AQI levels exceeding 150. Carrier emphasizes that while outdoor air may be unsafe, smoke particulates also infiltrate indoor spaces, creating additional health risks.
“Carrier remains steadfast in our mission to deliver healthier, safer, and more resilient indoor air,” said Nick Arch, Vice President and General Manager, Residential Solutions. “Our portfolio of advanced filtration and purification technologies provides families and businesses with solutions to navigate these challenges.”
Carrier’s comprehensive offerings include IAQ assessments, high-efficiency HVAC filtration, air purifiers with HEPA and activated carbon systems, and practical guidance on minimizing smoke infiltration. Earlier this year, Carrier underscored its community support by donating $2.5 million worth of air purifiers to Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts, reinforcing its dedication to public health and climate resilience.
